Why I am Here
I am writing a memoir on personal experiences involving sexual harassment, sexual assault, rape, and domestic violence while serving in the US Armed Forces. I am blogging my progress and research on this site along the way.
Where I Come From
I grew up in Elizabeth and Cranford, New Jersey and attended Cranford High School. After graduating in 2010, I went on to enlist in the Army National Guard out of Greensboro, North Carolina. My Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering was completed in South Carolina at Clemson University in 2014, and I spent the following years moving between Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Fort Drum, New York during my service as an Active Duty Engineer Officer. Since the Fall of 2019, I have been pursuing my doctorate degree at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois.
What You Can Look For in My Book
Over the course of my military career, between 2010-2019, my book intertwines my personal experiences with sexual harassment, sexual assault, rape, and domestic violence with national statistics of others’. Content on this page will include my process and my thoughts while writing down my experiences.
